On Sunday I had the pleasure of joining a group of bloggers from Irish BLB Inspire for some custom cocktails at Tivoli Backstage pop up Drop Dead Twice on Francis Street, Dublin.
From now until December (and hopefully afterwards) Drop Dead Twice are giving groups the opportunity to bring in spirits of their choice and have the staff whip them up 5 original cocktails matched to their tastes.
Along with our fabulous cocktails we were also treated with delicious finger food and mini desserts.
We each brought a different spirit, mine being Malibu. Because they were custom cocktails they didn’t have names so these were the names I made up for mine.
The ‘De Lissia’
I chose this name both because my nickname is Lissa and this was delicious.
Sweet and coconutty and sprinkled with girliness.
Mad Hatter Tea
I love tea, I love cocktails, I love pink so a pink, tea cocktail, yes please!
It felt very fairy tale and down the rabbit hole.
On Wednesday We Wear Pink
Strawberry and creamy and served in a very Regina George style.
You officially can’t sit with us (but you really can)
Berry Coconutty
It’s got coconut, it’s got berries, it’s berry coconutty.
Red Heads Have More Fun
This drink matched my auburn hair pretty perfectly and was an all alcohol cocktail flavored with almond and coconut.
(Birthday) Halloweenie Martini
My birthday is this week so I asked for something Octobery and the staff whipped me up this. It was made with a special pumpkin and cinnamon syrup made on site and contained in the pumpkin featured. Topped off with cream and black sugar it was visually spectacular.
It was a really fun afternoon and great to get to know bloggers I’d never met before.
Shout out and thanks to the blogger who offered me her ticket after I didn’t manage to get one earlier.
Looking forward to the next gathering and would highly recommend getting involved with Irish BLB if you’re an Irish blogger.
